There are basically two methods to transfer your complete WhatsApp conversation. The Google Drive Backup method and The Manual Backup And Restore Method.

The Google drive backup method is an automatic method to back up and restore your WhatsApp chats, this feature is available on all new versions of the WhatsApp apk. While this method works fine my concentration is on the Manual Back up and restore method of transferring WhatsApp conversation from one android device to another. That being said, let's move to the manual backup and restore method to transfer WhatsApp conversations from your old android device to a new one.

To transfer all of your WhatsApp conversations from your old device to a new one:

On the old android device we would need to backup the chats right now.
Go to Settings then to chats and backups from here tap on chat backup. check the image below

After the above, WHatsApp instantly creates a backup of all of your WhatsApp chats and conversations and also saves it in the database sub-folder in the WhatsApp folder.
We're done creating a backup of all of your WhatsApp conversations, the next would be to move it to a storage where it'll be before transferring to the new android device you have.
Connect the old android device to your computer and navigate to the Databases sub-folder in the WhatsApp folder, the WhatsApp folder is located in your device default storage, at the root. In the database sub-folder you'd see a file with the name similar to 'msgstore-2013-05-29.db.crypt'. Copy the one with the most recent date of creation (it will have a different name from the automatic backups created, something like "msgstore.db.crypt8") to anywhere on your computer you can easily locate.

When done with the above, you're now set to transfer your complete WhatsApp conversations to the new android device.
Install WhatsApp on the new device, after installing do not start the app.
Connect the new device to your computer and move the Backup we copied from the old device, now locate the WhatsApp folder and its Databases sub-folder, then paste the backup in the 'Databases' folder(NOTE: these folders are automatically created once the WhatsApp app has been installed).

After doing the above, start the WhatsApp app, verify your number and you'd get a notification that backup was found, tap on 'Restore' and let WhatsApp restore all of your backup. When this is done you've successfully transferred your WhatsApp conversation from your old device to the new one.

Hope this was helpful.
